You can’t just throw up an eBay listing and expect it to be successful when selling things on ebay – or in other words – successful as it SHOULD be. There is competition for every single item that you may think you can put up for eBay selling. Think you’ve got the secret product that no one has thought of yet – think again. You could probably find my 3rd grade pair of underwear that someone dug out of my trash on there… It’s that competitive.

So if your just going to throw something up and not put the time and research it takes to making your eBay listing as successful as possible then you might as well go flush a $20 bill down your toilet. There are simple steps that you should follow every single time you start up an eBay listing. It should be a routine thing you do, other wise your wasting your eBay products! These steps are as followed:

The first thing you should do before you even think about listing your eBay product is RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. Google your eBay product. Look to see what your local store, or other websites are selling your eBay product for. You NEED to know what you SHOULD be making for your product. After your general research is over the next thing you need to do, is to do your research on eBay. Find out what price other eBay sellers are selling your eBay product for. Make sure you look at the eBay sellers that seem to be doing the best. What sets them apart from other eBay sellers? You are going to be doing a lot of copying when your on eBay. Sam Walton (the founder of Wal-Mart) once said, “Most everything I have done has been copied off of someone else.”
Find out how much it is going to cost to ship your eBay product out.
Take great, not good, pictures of your item. Sometimes taking pictures with you yourself in the picture can help. Why? – Because people like to know that they’re buying from actual people on eBay.
Use good colors. Orange, green, blue, and red seem to work really well (there is a reason that the eBay logo has all of those colors in it).
You want your listings to last as long as possible, which would mean selecting the ten day listing, even though it costs ten cents. Three day listings and seven day listings are good for some things but the longer the amount of time you have your eBay auctions listed for, the more the people will see it – and even if they don’t bid right away (remember that most bidding occurs within the last couple hours, or sometimes minutes, of your eBay auction) they might mark your eBay product for watching and bid on it later.
Timing is very important. When are the most amount of people online? I’d say from experience, that the best time to have your auction end is on a Sunday evening, preferably between 5-10 p.m. So if you live on the East Coast and your listing something on eBay, then you should list it at 5 right? – Wrong, keep in mind that the west coast is 3 or more hours behind!! Listing at 9 o’clock p.m. would probably be better. If your buyers are from other countries, keep in mind the time zones that they in as well.

Keep in mind these few easy tips and your eBay auctions will be successful. For any other information that you may need please visit us at our website eBayMysteries.com

EBay Traveler! Sell Your Souvenirs At Online Auctions http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/ebay-traveler-sell-your-souvenirs-at-online-auctions/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/ebay-traveler-sell-your-souvenirs-at-online-auctions/#comments Wed, 22 Jun 2011 08:54:54 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/ebay-traveler-sell-your-souvenirs-at-online-auctions/ You have probably heard of the online auction site eBay, “The World’s Online Market Place”. People from all over the world buy and sell items through eBay’s online auctions and through eBay stores. There are people who sell on eBay as a hobby, making the occasional dollar, and there are others who make a very good full time living by selling on eBay.

You see, the biggest problem for most internet marketers is getting visitors to their site. If they get more visitors they sell more products. But with billions of page views a month, eBay already has the visitors. With eBay the internet marketer doesn’t need to worry about getting visitors. Just about all she needs to do is put products up for sale.

So what does eBay have to do with travel? eBay can make it possible for you to travel the world while making a killer income, anywhere in the world that has an internet connection. Make eBay your part-time or full-time job and travel anywhere you want. No bosses. Work your own hours. Make thousands of dollars weekly. Travel the world. All you’ll need to do is buy rare and unusual items while traveling and put them up for auction on eBay.

How can you get started on eBay and make a good living while traveling? First off, register with eBay http://www.ebay.com as a seller. eBay will take you through all the simple steps. It also has a lot of useful tips on buying and selling, so take a look around. Next, you’ll want to sign up for a PayPal http://www.paypal.com account. With PayPal you’ll be able to accept payments instantly, which will go into your online PayPal account. Then you can transfer money from your PayPal account to your regular bank account to withdraw funds. If you wish to accept payments through something other than PayPal look up the eBay rules under the help section.

A big key to selling on eBay is high quality photographs. So get yourself a good digital camera.

Take pictures of things in your home and put up a test auction on eBay’s “auction test” listings to see how everything looks. At this point don’t worry about selling, you just want to test the waters to get everything running smoothly. Also, scan eBay listings to see how other people sell their items, and research which items sell, to improve your own listings.

Once you are familiar with putting auction listings up on eBay on their auction testing pages you will want to focus on getting at least 10 positive feedback reviews. These reviews are what buyers leave sellers on eBay for all eBayers to see. (Sellers can only leave positive feedback for buyers, unfortunately they cannot leave negatives or neutrals anymore). If you have a lot of negatives no one will buy from you. But if you have a lot of positives people will be much more likely to buy from you. So treat your customers well to get those positive feedbacks!

eBay also has a star rating system where buyers can leave sellers up to five stars in these four categories: item as described, communication, shipping time and shipping and handling charges.

An easy way to build positives fast is to buy inexpensive items on eBay. These are a quick way of building up your reputation.

Or you could list several products that you can sell for $0.99. This will generate a lot of page views to your items, and a lot of sales. It will also generate a lot of feedback reviews for you. Once you have 20 positives you can then sell on Dutch Auctions (useful for when you have more than one of the same item for sale) and you can sell items in Feature Auctions. Feature Auctions are the key to making a lot of money on eBay as they generally sell well and can get you extra traffic to your other auctions. With 20 positive feedbacks you’ll also be able to open up your eBay Store which allows you to list items in a non-auction format at cheaper listing fees.

You could sell 40 Feature Auction items a week for a $20 profit each. That’s $800 a week, $3,200 a month. If you want to make more money, up your profit margin or put up more listings. Just 100 listings a week could easily make you $2,000 a week or more.

You could opt to be a low-volume seller for more travel flexibility as you won’t need to have a large inventory. Where high-volume sellers generally sell lots of items for lower profit margins, low-volume sellers sell a few items at higher profit margins.

The key to selling on eBay is to sell items at bargain prices, sell rare and unique items, or to sell unique items at bargain prices. These types of products are easily found while traveling. Imagine what you could buy at a market in India. Unique items at bargain prices. Then turn around and sell them for a nice profit on eBay. (For example: a gemstone could be bought in a cheaper country for a fraction of what it is worth in other countries. You then sell it on eBay for less than the retail value in your target country, but at a hefty profit for yourself).

With internet cafes popping up all over the world you won’t even need to bring your computer along with you on your trips. Just buy a unique item and take some good pictures. Go into an internet cafe, download the pics and put up your listing on eBay. When the item sells send it off to the buyer. Money will be put into your PayPal account which will fund your travels.

Selling on eBay to make a living while traveling is something different, but it works. Imagine traveling to exotic destinations with no bosses and no time schedules. Freedom. And all you have to do is buy souvenirs to sell them on eBay!

There are several other auction sites on the internet besides eBay.

If you sell several of the same item you could list it on several different auction sites for more exposure. You don’t need to stop at eBay. The more listings you have up, on as many sites as you can, the more visitors you’ll receive and the more money you’ll make.

Be careful with seller fees though. You want to put up items that sell. If you don’t sell you’ll end up paying eBay listing fees without making a profit. Find the successes on these auction sites and emulate them.

Use online auctions to make some extra cash or as a full-time business. With the right strategy you could make a lot of money from virtually anywhere in the world.

History of the Advent Speakers Corporation http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/history-of-the-advent-speakers-corporation/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/history-of-the-advent-speakers-corporation/#comments Tue, 21 Jun 2011 12:18:22 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/history-of-the-advent-speakers-corporation/ The Advent Speakers corporation was founded primarily by Henry Kloss in 1967. The name “advent” is derived from a Latin term meaning “approaching”. Interestingly enough, in this case, “advent” was also a placeholder terminology used in the legal incorporation process as Kloss began filing papers for his company without having a specific name in mind.

Kloss’s first vision was to create a form of projected television however by 1968; he had abandoned those plans to instead focus on his new line of dual driver spear systems. These dual driver speaker systems – that would later become Advent Speakers! – consisted of a single 10 inch woofer dubbed lovingly “the advent speaker”. These later became known asLarge Advent Speakers. At the time, Advent Speakerswere said to compete favorably with the sound quality of similar brands like the AR Model 3a while costing only half as much! The secret of the Large Advent Speaker was Advent’s patent tweeter and woofer pairing with inverted foam surround. The system employed by Kloss at that time is now known as acoustic suspension.

After successfully launching his Advent Speakers, Kloss moved on to begin developing high fidelity cassette tapes. This was cutting edge at the time as cassette tapes were initially intended for voice dictation recordings only. By 1971, Kloss and his Advent Speakers brand rolled out the Advent 201 in 1971. The Advent 201 incorporated Dolby B technology and was at the time, the first and only popular “high fidelity” cassette tape deck. The final large invention from Kloss ad Advent Speakers was the Advent Video Beam 1000 – a large screen projection TV. released in 1977.

Life After Advent Speakers

Kloss departed Advent in 1977 and after a time, the company fell on hard times. Advent filed for bankruptcy in 1981 and was never able to recover.  At some point in the 1980′s, Jensen was able to acquire the Advent brand and marketed a number of “Advent” speakers including the Prodigy. Unfortunately, the quality of the rebranded Jensen Advent Speakers was not up to par with the original Advent Speakers. The Prodigy speakers have a harsh sound with a mediocre woofer. Not necessarily a bad speaker, but certainly not a good one if you know what we mean.

If you are wondering what happened to Kloss himself, well it is not very surprising! After leaving his Advent companies, he began working at Cambridge SoundWorks in 1988 and became a successful designer of table radios and computer speaker systems. Kloss retired from Cambridge SoundWorks in 1996 and led a happy life until he passed away in 2002. Kloss’s legacy remains in his Emmy award winning work as a television designer and his Induction – one of the first of its kind – into the Consumer Electronics Association’s Hall of Fame.

Kloss had a great effect on the world of inventions, especially Advent Speakers

All that said, the legacy of Advent Speakers lives on however! Today, the Large Advent Speakers can fetch serious money on hobby forums or auction sites like eBay, especially when original or only light refurbished. These Advent Speakers remain popular due to their rich sound and nostalgic existence.

How To Make Millions Dollars with Twitter http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/how-to-make-millions-dollars-with-twitter/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/how-to-make-millions-dollars-with-twitter/#comments Sun, 15 May 2011 01:22:29 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/how-to-make-millions-dollars-with-twitter/ There is always a question in my mind- Can I help people living better with out Criticism but with twitter. Today, I can tell you that you can. I will provide each step which helps you to achieve your goal. Twitter is an social media which allows you to keep contact with your friend and sharing information. Some business use twitter to contact with their customers by providing updated information about their productions. there are always some people seek this opportunity to make some money online. How the twitter used is not the concern of this article.
I. Avoid suspension

Before you would like to make millions with your twitter account, you may want to know how to avoid your account being suspended by twitter. I urge you to read the terms and condition of twitter carefully, before opening your accounts. There are many reasons that your account was suspended by the twitter’s robot, but through my experience, the most common factors are
1. Spamming

The definition of spamming is not cleared in the twitter terms and conditions. It may mean that you have post only for business promotion. Repetitiveness in posting the same messages or links, etc.
2. Not your personal messages
If you post only link to website, or link from other source, it may cause your account being suspended, because there is nothing personal or not yours. To void this, write something interest about yourself or make up some.

3. Blocked by followers
Although twitter has not specified the percentage of which your account is blocked by other twitter users, but it is there. To avoid this, do not using method of follow then unfollowed after users have followed you back. Consistently use of this method can get them mad, they will block you. By the time you know what happen, your account is suspended and can not be retreated.
4. Using tweeting software

The terms and conditions state clearly, that you can only use any tweeting software to auto follow back. Other than that, it can cause your account being suspended. So be careful on this.

5. Aggressive following
If you follow more than some percentage of people everyday, you may be suspended for aggressive following. You can retreat you account if you promise not to do that again. To avoid this, out of 1000 following allowed, follow no more than 400 twitter users everyday. Why it is 400? The 400 is the random number that is used because you can follow that number safely for everyday, without worry about the message of ” You can not follow any more user” from twitter.

6. Etc.
The worst thing happens is you wake one day and find out that your account is suspended. You waste all your time and effort…..I don’t know what else to say!

II. Let us start to make million dollars with twitter
Open your account with twitter
.
There are many thing that you should do before opening an account with twitter
A. What is you twitter account website. where you will lead your followers to, what types of information that you can provide?
To solve this problem, think of what information that you want to provide, think of the keyword weightloss? Grocery, make money online. What ever you decide? then
a. Open your free website

You can go Blogger, Blog.ca, blog.com., etc. to open a blog with them. All you need is a proper email address.
b. Contents of your site

Since you have decided on some key words, you can go to Articlebase, or Ezinearticles to select some experts articles by using the same keywords. Copy and paste them to your site, remember to leave all link intact to avoid all the copy right problems that may interfere with your plan of making millions with twitter. (You can also put some advertisements at the end of the article so you can make some money, if you reader choose to buy)
c. Open your account with twitter
Do not use your email address which you use to contact friend, at working but a NEW EMAIL address, because you will receive hundred of emails from people you follow or people follow you and you don’t want them to interfere with important messages. You will need to confirm to complete your registration with twitter. If you like you can go through messages which sent to you by your follower.
d. Now you can post your first message

Go to bit.ly to shorten you URL. There is only 140 characters that you can post your message. Post the article that you past on your site. Reply some of the messages, if you like, post some of personal thing or make up some. Then out of key word in searching, follow 400 twitter users. For each user, you only follow no more than first 60, including all already followed by you. The reason is guaranteed that all users who you followed are active twitter users. At the last page, chose the user with similar keyword and keep repeating until you get a total of 400. Out of that you will get about half of them follow you back. The time consuming is about 15 minutes, assuming you don’t tweet again on the day.

After first day, everything seems to work perfectly. You repeat this method of posting until you reach first 2000 following. The problem occurs, if you have reached first 2000 followings with not enough followers. Twitter now not allows you to follow any more people and the rule of 10% applied (Although twitter does not say anything about 10% rule, but all users know it). What that means is you can only follow 10% more than your followers. To solve this problem, I am direct you to my previous article, which you help you to solve this problem

http://twitterrescue.blogspot.com/2010/03/tips-for-reactivate-your-twitter.html

you account is over 2000 followers if you followed the tips of the above article (you can replace tweet karma with justunfollow or tweetadder to achieve the same goal faster)

B. Make money along the way with twitter advertising networks
Here is the website that gives you all information how to make money with your twitter account by joining them

http://makemoneywithyourtwitteraccount.blogspot.com/

C. Open account with PayPal
It is important that you have a PayPal account so your twitter advertising network can transfer money to your account as soon as you earn. Go to PayPal.com, you will direct each step for opening a new account.

D. The software and website you need
Since twitter using authorization of oath to sign up, many softwares which engage in auto unfollowing are become obsoleted.
1. Tweet adder
Many people still use tweet adder to perform the same tacks with some successes. Here is the link for purchase the Tweet adder software.
If you buy, I get 50% of what you pay. Tweet adder not allows affiliate to get commission for purchase to themselves, so if you decide to buy this software, you have to buy it from someone else but yourself. Onetime payment for life.

2. Just unfollow
This website give you the information of twitter users who don’t not follow you back (You can delete them manually) and user who followed you and you have not followed them back (manually as well). You have to pay $4.95 a year for its service. It is not bad. Here is the site. It is just unfollow (I don’t get commission of this purchase)
Now, you either have tweet adder or just unfollow on your wing (I have them both, just in case one of them down), you are ready to make millions dollars from twitter.

E. Can you make millions with your twitter accounts now
1. Yes, you can mathematically
Since you have 200 followers everyday
In one year, 200 x 365= 73,000 followers in 10 years you have 730,000
How much you twitter account worth now
if you go to What is my Twitter account worth?
You twitter account now worth about $250,000
You have saved $25,000 a year over last ten years with 15 minutes of work a day
To achieve 1,000,000, you need to continue to work 15 minutes a day for 40 years, if you have only one account.

2. Reduce the needy years
Let assume that you have 4 accounts in the beginning, then all you need is 10 years. Although Twitter do not say how many account one is permitted to open, but as long as you have a proper e mail address and those account do not post the same contents, I believe you are OK. What that really means? If you cross posting, you are violated the terms and conditions that can cause your accounts being suspended. To achieve that goal, you should open 4 websites by following each step of A. The problem now is you have to spend 60 minutes a day to achieve that goal.

3. Can you really sell your accounts
I don’t know, some people say you can and some don’t agree. Some say your account is the property of Twitter, not yours. In fact, some one have actually put their account in Ebay for auction. But in fact, selling your twitter account is not my concern, if you can, good for you, if you can not, there are many good ways to make a decent income by selling tweet on twitter account. How much will you earn for 1 tweet for account with 2,000,000 followers – More than 3000 dollars.
In the good time when the economy is rolling along, a twitter account with 1,000,000 followers had made over $15,000 for a product worth $40 with 70%commission, but today with the economy is on recession, nobody knows how much you can make if you tweet your own ads. But you can plant a seed and wait the economy to come back, who knows what will happen ten years from now.

4. If you don’t want to sell account
Now your accounts have over 2,000,000 followers, you will easily make $10,000 by selling tweet to tweeter advertising networks or find products that closely related to your keywords and sell them yourself. Here is the link Paydot.com that you can find many great products to sell on your twitter account with no fee upfront.
Will this money add to your comfort retirement. Remember all you need is to spend is 15 minutes a day and investment of a few hundred dollars while you can still work full time.
a. A retirement account
Since we all need to save some money for our retirement, but in this case, you save for your retirement by working extra 15 minutes a day.
b. Save for your children
Don’t you think it is a good idea when one day you can leave your children with a money generate machine that they can get paid everyday.
c. If you are teenagers
It is a good idea that you can retire within 30 years with all money coming along. In fact, you get paid every time some one buy tweet from your account from twitter advertising network as long as your account is active.

III. Summary
I have provided you with all the information that are necessary to build for fine financial future that no originals working people have achieved before. It is up to you to gain experience and adapt to the change of twitter in the future. No one know, twitter will be around at that time, you may waste all your time and achieve nothing. But one thing is warrant, if Twitter in the future is the same Twitter today, it should work well according to my judgment, how about yours.

Properly Authenticating Autographs http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/properly-authenticating-autographs/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/properly-authenticating-autographs/#comments Thu, 21 Apr 2011 11:31:02 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/properly-authenticating-autographs/ So I am a huge JAWS fan, I think it’s the greatest movie ever made.  As a result I’m regularly scoping out eBay for additions to my collection of JAWS memorabilia.  One thing I’ve always shied clear of, though, is autographs.

The reason is simple, about five years ago, I stumbled across a JAWS THE REVENGE poster autographed by JAWS star Robert Shaw.  Problem:  JAWS THE REVENGE was release in 1987, nine years after the death of Robert Shaw, who allegedly signed it.  Obviously there is no way the autograph could be genuine.  As a result, I just ignored autograph ads from that point forward.

Until recently, anyway, when I stumbled across a gold mine of autographed photos in a local antique shop, including one from John Williams, who composed the score for JAWS.  Suddenly, I was interested.  So how was I to know that what I was buying was the genuine article?

Traced signatures are common, but they usually give themselves away because the writing is shaky (an inherent trait that goes with tracing).

Date the item within its lifetime.  Much like the JAWS poster I mentioned above, make sure the item could have existed within the lifespan of the author.  A John Lennon autograph on a 1981 photo?  Be afraid.

Of course the best way to make sure the autograph is real is to actually watch the person sign it.  This removes all doubt, for you anyway.

You first need to determine if the person whose autograph you are seeking is contemporary or classic.  Most classic signatures can be authenticated, but more modern autographs cannot be so readily identified.

There are also a number of companies that specialize in the authentication of the autographs, as well as those who trade in autographs, who are much more likely to take extra care to authenticate the product as oppose to a stranger you met off of eBay.

You can also visit PSA/DNA Authentication services online, download their submission form, complete and submit it online.  The PSA/DNA will determine if your item is authentica and tag it with an invisible ink, only visible to laser.  The item may be tagged in an unobtrusive area or on a certificate of authenticity.

You may also want to build up a collection of verification material, such as checks, documents, contracts, etc, anything that has a reputable signature on it.  This can prove invaluable when determining if a signature is the genuine article.

You can also familiarize yourself with the way a given celebrity signs their name, which can give you a good clue as to whether or not autographs are genuine.  When I was a teenager, I corresponded a time or two with noted suspense director John Carpenter.  His signed letters featured a larger than average “J”, and the overall signature appeared to read “Joel Carter”.  Simply familiarizing myself with his writing style helped me to identify authentic autographs years down the road.

Basically, be suspicious.  In this case, the subject is guilty until proven innocent.  Take whatever steps you feel are necessary to make sure the product is what it claims to be.

Done right, autograph collecting can be an enjoyable and rewarding hobby.  Don’t be taken by the ripoff artists, know what you are looking for and how to ensure its validity, and go chase down as many stars as you can find.

Ebay: Common Ebay Scams to be on the Lookout for http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/ebay-common-ebay-scams-to-be-on-the-lookout-for/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/ebay-common-ebay-scams-to-be-on-the-lookout-for/#comments Fri, 01 Apr 2011 01:19:19 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/ebay-common-ebay-scams-to-be-on-the-lookout-for/ Are you looking to start buying on eBay? If you have never used eBay before, you may not necessarily know that it is relatively easy to fall victim to an eBay scam. While eBay is considered a safe place to shop online, there are a number of eBay scams that you should be on the lookout for. Knowing what these scams are, before you start shopping on eBay, will help to reduce or completely eliminate your chances of becoming a victim.

Before we start to examine some of the most common eBay scams that you should be on the lookout for, it is important to mention why those scams exist. eBay is considered an online market place or an online auction website. Just about anyone with an internet connection and an eBay account can start eBay sale auctions. This is what makes it possible for scammers to trap innocent shoppers like you. While eBay does work to combat these scams and eliminate the individuals behind them, there are some people who slip through the cracks. That is why you will always want to be on the lookout for eBay scams.

Speaking of common scams to be on the lookout for, one of the most common scams involves selling a product that the seller actually doesn’t have. This type of scam is sometimes difficult to spot, but there are signs that you should look for. When posting an eBay auction, an eBay seller should have pictures of the item or items that they are selling or at least accurate descriptions. With some items, such as books, CDs, or movies, eBay sellers are given the option of using a stock photo; one that is provided by eBay. All other items should have a genuine photo, taken by the seller. If not, you may want to refrain from making the purchase, as it may mean that the seller isn’t even in possession of the item or items that they are trying to sell you.

In addition to selling items that they don’t even have available, another common eBay scam involves lying about the items that they do have. For instance, there are some eBay sellers, although a small number of them, who claim that they have an item, like a car radio, which is in brand new condition, but it isn’t always. It is not uncommon for some eBay seller to outright lie or strength the truth a little bit. Unless you have a watchful eye, you may not find out until it is too late. That is why it is advised that you not only purchase items from eBay that are accompanied by pictures, but that you also examine those pictures. You will want to try and see if something really does look new or if it is in “like new,” condition.

Another common eBay scam that you will want to look for involves those who want your personal information. This type of scam is implemented in two different ways. First, there are a small number of sellers who tell you that they need your credit card information, but they shouldn’t. Whether you pay by PayPal, personal check, or money order, you shouldn’t give out any personal information to any eBay sellers, even if you are buying an item from them. If you are not using PayPal, just send a check or money order to the address given to you, nothing else needs to be done.

The second eBay scam that involves trying to get your personal information is phishing. Phishing scams are increasing in popularity, making it easier to fall victim to one. With phishing scams, a scammer sends out an email that looks like it is from eBay. The email is often accompanied with a message stating that something is wrong with your account and that you need to click on the attached link, sign in and fix it. This is a scam. What they are trying to do is get your eBay account information. Once that has been done, they may have access to stored personal account numbers, as well as the ability to use your eBay account to make fraudulent purchases.

The above mentioned eBay scams are just a few of the most common ones that you may run across. Although there are those on eBay who are trying to scam or take advantage of you, the chances of falling victim to a scam on eBay are actually quite low, as long as you proceed with caution.

Ebay Sellers at a Crossroad http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/ebay-sellers-at-a-crossroad/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/ebay-sellers-at-a-crossroad/#comments Tue, 29 Mar 2011 08:41:53 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/ebay-sellers-at-a-crossroad/ From my perception of the situation there appears to be 3 different reactions. Some have completely ignored the changes and continued on eBay without any considerations of other options. Some have exited entirely trying to awaken the alternative venues that are currently just beginning. The third reaction I have found are those sellers who have chose to continue to rent space, but who are also actively promoting themselves and the chosen developing venue.

I am curious to see which response will bring success to the actors. I’m putting my faith in those staying at eBay while aggressively building their business and that of their chosen venue, such as Wagglepop, up into the public view leading to certain success.

The other two approaches to the situation will inevitable prove to be failure. Those who have made themselves martyrs of eBay and have vowed to never again grace the eBay venue with their business are throwing themselves- their business off of “main street” and have put their sign behind all the skyscrapers completely out of view. The work that will have to go into creating visibility will be long and lacking in funds. Eventually, they will concede and believe with even greater certainty to eBay’s arrogant brainwash of their having no other choice but to continue to rent space on eBay’s venue and pay the fees while thanking them for allowing them the opportunity to participate in eBay venue to make eBay money. Diving into the oblivion of eBay’s strangle hold swallowed whole never to be seen again. They will suffer the same fate of those who have remained oblivious in the wake of the eBay’s horrific attack.

As the rollout of changes progress the eBay “marketplace” is feeling the assault with greater intensity every day. While the changes are being implemented gradually the consequence is bludgeoning the eBay community. What was once a harmonious agreement of appropriate conduct has viciously degraded into what I termed as eBay civil unrest.

Some general buying members of eBay mistakenly believing that the feedback changes had taken place in February seemed to have set with the index finger poised for clicking action as soon as the clock struck midnight on Feb 20. The raging voices of sellers on various forums including the eBay discussion boards spat the outrage of their receiving a negative without provocation. Of course there is no way to determine if this was a heyday for some scorned buyers who decided to take their rage out on any seller of opportunity or if the feedback score was legitimately applied.

As the date of feedback changes races toward sellers they are meeting the evil that has sat in wait for their moment to arrive. With near uncontainable excitability with the anxiety of anticipation bursting undeniable into exuberance as the threats pour from their fingertips into the seller’s eMail box. A deep and thorough analysis is unnecessary. The seller’s reputation will be scarred as a result of deviant customers and the image that eBay has portrayed of its customers will finally express their version of the eBay seller community. Commerce will rapidly decline as it becomes impossible to distinguish the bad from the good on both sides of the transaction.

It is then that eBay meets its consequence of stupidity by falling into the oblivion of self inflicted failure.

Unfortunately, eBay’s oblivious brainwashed followers will be found along side eBay at the site of the crash- there are no eBay survivors.

Oh wait maybe there are survivors. Some of those eBay sellers had prepared for the crash. They spent the last days of eBay’s “glory” creating their own existence in online auction selling. They stayed and rode the gravy train until the boat broke using all of the advantage that eBay still possessed – revenue to build their new existence, customers to promote their new business to, and time to settle into their new cozy home! To survive eBay’s personal demise- they have played their cards right and walked away with a smile.

You’re standing at the crossroad- which way are you going to go? And how are going to get there?

The Ebay Powersellers Toolbox http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/the-ebay-powersellers-toolbox/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/the-ebay-powersellers-toolbox/#comments Mon, 28 Mar 2011 02:43:19 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/the-ebay-powersellers-toolbox/ “I really must get round to selling on eBay” Sound familiar? It’s a fact that starting out selling on ebay is daunting. It’s a huge site with lots of hoops to jump through – so it seems anyway.

But as a full time Powerseller I can tell you, that it’s easy once you master a few basics and have your standard set of tools and resources sorted out.

In this article series I’m going to list and explain the tools and services you need to get in order to operate effectively as a seller on ebay.

**Why aim at Powerseller level?**

A Powerseller is an ebay seller who has sold above a certain number of items/value over a 3 month rolling period. It is an indication of success so therefore you what to be there as if you’re not then you’re by definition not selling very much and only making a bit of spare cash.

**How long to become a Powerseller?**

A minimum of 3 months. You need to sell over a certain number of sales/value and maintain a good feedback rating over a 3 month rolling period. So even if you sell $100,000 in month you won’t be upgraded. That’s because eBay define Powerseller’s as their most experienced “pillars of the community” So you have to prove yourself to eBay and that takes a little while.

It’s possible to do it in 3 months but unlikely. You’d be pushing very hard and taking some risks because of your unfamiliarity with the system. Better I suggest to aim at 4 months with month one being the test and learn phase.

**What do you need? My Powerseller Toolbox**

Some of these steps and tools you can do or get before you start. Some you need to be aware of and ready to fire at the right time. I’ve indicated this on each step.

**Verified Paypal Premier or Business account – Right away.

Free and essential. Lets you receive and send any amount of money. Premier if selling as a private individual. Business if you’re a business.

**Quality digital camera – Immediately.

Essential. Make sure it has a good macro mode for close up shots. Photos are a key to your success. When you’re selling products where you can get manufacturer shots I still find it good to take my own shots in a natural setting for the product. This adds extra differentiation and you’ll come across as more of an authority on the product.

**Image Edit software – Right away.

If you’re a whiz with Photoshop or other image software great. If not then you’ll need image editing software for resizing and touch up. I use Irfanview which is free.

**Image hosting account – Right away.

eBay’s Picture Manager is pricey. An alternative is an image hosting account. You just upload your pictures and copy and paste the image codes into your auctions. I use villagephotos.com where I get a 5000 image limit for $6 a month. Their cool image gallery feature allows you to use many photos in your auctions for free.

**Answertool – As soon as you start listing

I can’t praise this enough. As you do eBay you’ll find that you get many repetitive questions. E.g., postage queries, requests for your address, common questions on core products. It’s really annoying to type a reply each time for the same thing.

With Answertool you build up a custom database of common answers and access them through a really fast easy tree structure that comes up at the click of a button.

It’s simly a “can’t live without” tool.

I estimate it’s saved me 20-30 minutes a day since I got it 18 months = 10-11 days of pointless typing eliminated!

**Roboform – Right away

As you develop your business you’ll find yourself needing to log in to allsorts of places, ebay, supplier websites, membership sites etc. Roboform stores and automates all your login and password operations. Once you have you can’t and won’t live without it. A massive time and hassle saver that is also great for filling in online forms, e,g, anything with name, address ‘ Get it.

**Turbolister – Right away

Free. eBays auction listing and management tool. Create and manage your listings on your computer and upload them en masse to eBay. It’s faster and easier than creating auctions on eBay’s online interface, has loads of design templates and requires no HTML or techie skills. A vast time saver. Get it and take a few hours to learn it.

**Selling Manager Pro – Right away

Automates your business processes through the sales cycle – from customer emails and listing management to leaving feedback. Get the Pro version. It’s free for 30 days. Indispensable.

**Open an eBay shop – After 10 positive feedbacks

Your own eCommerce website within eBay. You can organise all your auctions in categories you define. You can put your own custom pages on there, run sales on your fixed price items, manage cross sell promotions, build and market to your own email list. You even have a Vacation feature to freeze things if you go on holiday. If you want to do a bit of SEO (Search engine optimization) this is where you target it.

There are 3 levels: Basic, Featured and Anchor. Go for Featured. Anchor is hugely expensive so ignore that until you’re at least a Gold level Powerseller.

Right away – Look at other sellers to get ideas for things you. Write the pages in advance so you can set them up quickly later.

**About Me page – As soon as you get auctions running

Free. A basic thing you must do. People buy form people and this where you get to tell people who you are and what you do. Write for your target audience in the context of your situation. So if you’re just starting, say who you are and that you’re clearing your house out so keep checking back! Later you can put info like buyers guides, FAQs and technical info ‘ stuff you don’t want cluttering up your auctions.

**Buy some stuff on eBay – Right away

Get some positive feedbacks and learn how eBay works from the buyers angle. Maybe things for your hobbies or some supplies you’ll need like scales and bubble wrap.

**Define Terms and Conditions – Right away

See my sites and feel free to lift and adapt mine if you. No matter how you’re selling you must have these just in case. Key things you might put in an auction are places you can’t or won’t ship to. Types of payment accepted. Whether or not people can call round to collect. Refund & Guarantee policy.

**Define Refund and Guarantee policy – Right away

You wouldn’t buy a most things without one so why should people buy from some person on ebay if you don’t offer one? I offer a 30 day money back, no questions asked. I get about a 1% return rate which is a mix of defective product (it happens) and ones where I suspect the person needed the money back as they’d overspent. Regardless I do the refund.

**Check email 3×7

Check morning, noon and evening at least. Potential customers will sometimes ask the daftest questions or ask about things that are clearly written in the auction. Just be polite and answer and don’t say anything sarcastic! Replay too late and someone might not bid and that can mean a bidding war never starts and the auction bombs.

**Skype or phone communication

If you don’t mind taking calls then I suggest a phone with answer machine and published hours when it will be answered or you’ll never get any peace. The same goes for Skype.

**Mailing stuff – Right away:

*Big sharp scissors.

*Scales that measure from 1 gram up as high as possible.

*Brown packing tape.

*Wide clear cellotape.

*Brown paper wrap.

*Bubble wrap rolls.

*Padded mailing bags, I use MailLite.

You can find suppliers for all this on eBay though I prefer office supplies company Viking Direct where I buy mailing supplies in bulk monthly.

**Future products and sales – Whan awake at all times!

Think about product you’ll source to resell. Make a list of hobbies and interests past, present or thing you want to start and go scout online for manufacturers and wholesalers and make a spreadsheet contact hit list.

**Summary

Time spent in preparation is time well spent. Take care not to get caught in this phase ‘ analysis paralysis as it’s called. Get your tools done fast. Be focused and determined and move onto action stations ‘ selling your first items.

Auction Listing Design an Ebay Ebook Success Tips http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/auction-listing-design-an-ebay-ebook-success-tips/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/auction-listing-design-an-ebay-ebook-success-tips/#comments Sat, 26 Mar 2011 21:05:16 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/auction-listing-design-an-ebay-ebook-success-tips/ This month I have encountered two small problems, which have affected my eBay business. If I had spent a little more time thinking about the design of my auction listings, these problems could have easily been avoided and I would have had more time to spend on other things instead of editing tiny mistakes in nearly 100 listings. There have been many similar occasions in the past where a little more forward planning would have avoided me redesigning all my eBay auction listings. Therefore, my advice to you in this issue is to think carefully about the design of your auction listings. More time spent on your listing now can mean MUCH less time spent redesigning them in the future.

Now the two actual problems I encountered this month were the down to my PayPal address and my eBay ID. The first problem was that for some reason the Pay Now button in eBay was not working for all customers. This led to me getting many emails from buyers saying the Pay Now button is not working, or worse many people sending payments to one of my email addresses that was not registered with PayPal. The end result was me having to explain and solve the problem via multiple emails to multiple customers. So how could I have avoided this problem? Well in my actual eBay listing and Payment Policy I made no reference to my PayPal email address but included all my other email addresses. I overlooked including my PayPal email address in the listings simply because I assumed that the Pay Now button would work at all times. Obviously not. I have now amended all listings to include my PayPal email address (payments@theebookcavern.co.uk if anyone is still unsure) and thankfully since then I have had no PayPal payments sent to the wrong email address.

So now all seems fine and dandy with my eBay listings when 2 days ago I received an email stating that I needed to change my User ID because the previous one (**www.theebookcavern.co.uk**) made reference to this website. Now on eBay you can get away with this type of User ID for a while but sooner or later eBay will catch you out and make you change it. I knew this so really I should have chose a more sensible User ID instead of trying to get a little extra traffic to my website. So how does this affect my listings? Well in every listing I include a link to my eBay feedback and eBay About Me page which now needs to be changed. So that means more fun for me as I will have edit all my eBay listings yet again.

So you may be wandering OK but what’s the point of this story. Well you (and hopefully me as well) can learn from my mistakes. These two examples illustrate how just a LITTLE forward planning would have saved a LOT of time for me and can do for you too. I will give you a few things to think about when designing your auction listings but you may think of more.

1) Ebay ID:- When choosing an eBay ID you need to think about using one that both reflects your line of business and also sticks to eBay policy. I know that it may be tempting to use **yourwebsitename** as a User ID but that is a violation of eBay policy and they will make you change it eventually. If you have to change your User ID then you have to change every Feedback and About Me link in all your listings. Choosing a User ID which is within eBay policy will save you a lot of time in the future.

2) About Me Page:- Do you have an About Me page? If not you should get one as it is one of the best promotion tools you have on eBay. If you do have one you really should link to it in your auctions as from the About Me page has much fewer restrictions than your other eBay pages (for example you can link to your own website). If you want to promote yourself on eBay the About Me page is the best way to do it and the best way to increase traffic to your About Me page is promote it fully.

3) Ebay Store:- If you have an eBay store then it is essential that you provide a link to it within your auction listings. Many customers who view your auctions will not know that you have an eBay store or if they do they may not know exactly what one is. If you want to maximise your sales potential you need to make as many customers aware of your eBay store as possible. Putting a simple sentence at the top of your auction listings such as “Can’t wait for this auction to end? Then Click Here to purchase it right now from my eBay store” will give your eBay store maximum exposure in your eBay auctions.

4) Email Addresses:- Make sure that all relevant email addresses are included in your auction listing. Your PayPal email address must be in here to avoid similar problems to the ones I experienced. All the email addresses you wish to be contacted on should also be included as well. For example I include my PayPal email payments@theebookcavern.co.uk, my delivery enquiries email delivery@theebookcavern.co.uk, and my general enquiries email sales@theebookcavern.co.uk. Even if you only have one email address which is the same as the one associated with your “Contact the Seller” you should still include an email link in your auction description simply because it makes it easier for the customer.

5) Ebay Store Custom Pages:- If you have an eBay store you are allowed to design custom pages for whatever purpose you see fit. If these custom pages are in any way relevant to the auction then you should include a link to them too.

6) Images:- Have you put in all the images you want to use to promote your auction. If not make sure they are all included. What about your eBay store? If you have one then a store logo is a great way to promote your store, make you look more professional, and hopefully increase traffic and sales.

These are just a few of the many things you should consider before listing an item on eBay. I am sure you can think of many more. These rules are especially applicable to ebook sellers on eBay because you will be constantly re-using the same auction listing to sell an ebook because you have an infinite supply. Getting the listing as close to perfect now will save you a LOT of time in the future. Good luck!!!

Walk Like an Egyptian, Think Like an Ebay Powerseller http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/walk-like-an-egyptian-think-like-an-ebay-powerseller/ http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/ebay-suspension-articles/walk-like-an-egyptian-think-like-an-ebay-powerseller/#comments Fri, 25 Mar 2011 13:17:17 +0000 http://www.ebayundercoverreview.com/uncategorized/walk-like-an-egyptian-think-like-an-ebay-powerseller/ Does that make sense to you? If you still don’t know what an eBay PowerSeller is, though, its time you should.

eBay PowerSellers are sellers on eBay who have reached a certain level of sales performance and have maintained a high number of positive feedback. An eBay PowerSeller is recognisable by the little ‘PowerSeller’ badge that’s attached to their names.

It’s probable that you’ve seen these people around, probably even dealt with them. They are the epitome of success in the eBay scene. They are even treated as celebrities.

eBay decides who should be bestowed the recognition of being an eBay PowerSeller and who can’t. They have set up strict requirements on how to identify the coveted title of eBay PowerSeller.

In order to pass up into the minimum eBay PowerSeller level, an eBay seller must have a feedback rating of at least 100 (minimum 98% positive) and the quota of sales is at least $1,000 worth of items every month for three months in a row.

Different levels are defined on an eBay PowerSeller membership and as you sell items of greater value:
$1,000 total is bronze
$3,000 is silver
$10,000 is gold
$25,000 is platinum
$125,000 is titanium.

Once you become an eBay Powerseller member, you need to maintain it. eBay PowerSellers are in danger of losing their much coveted status if they fail to meet the required amount of sales and positive feedback. To put it simply, the people who get to become eBay PowerSellers are people who have been constantly successful and have started in eBay quite awhile, and are very determined to stay that way.

It’s possible for anyone of us to become an eBay PowerSeller. If you are determined enough to succeed on eBay, then you must start reforming your thinking, and think the way these eBay Powersellers do.

Know and understand how an eBay PowerSeller thinks about their shop and the marketplace.

This is the most important aspect in understanding how eBay PowerSellers think. First, they don’t view what they’re doing as some kind of random bazaar where anything goes. They don’t even think of it as a hobby, where you get some fun out of earning some money. A trueblue eBay PowerSeller consider what they’re doing as a business – and a serious, risk-taking, stakeholding business, at that.

Let’s take for example running a stall in a marketplace. Once you put up a stall, the chances are that you have a general area of business, but mostly you just sell whatever product you can come up with that’s worth selling or anything that happens to be available.Whatever the source and any product that are wholly available, you put up for sale. This may be quite fun for a while. If you strike lucky on a particular week, then you can declare that you really had a good week – sizeable profits and all. But this kind of haphazard selling is no way to run a real business for a long term basis.

Now, eBay PowerSeller do not do their business in this fashion. They think far more like shops. They specialize on a certain product and lock on to a target market. Every week, they sell the same things again and again. This means that they put up regular stock of the same product for regular customers. They keep tabs tightly on things that matter in the business, like doing ‘boring’ things like keeping inventories and budgetledgers.

An eBay powerseller know specifically what they’re going to be selling, exactly how much they buy it for and for how much they’ll sell the items. Just like a real tangible shop that has ups and downs,an eBay PowerSeller holds on and keeps on improving but essentially never changes abruptly. Then finally, their income becomes stable and their business starts to grow, albeit slowly.

So, have you gotten the drift? In keeping up with how an eBay PowerSeller thinks, the best advice is this: don’t opt for short-term gain with long-term risks.

In putting up a business, be serious and focused, look after your reputation, manage your selling properly and provide good customer service. Don’t think ahead too soon for the times where you will reap rewards. Chances are, if you spend your time thinking up and doing ways that will help your business grow, your reward will just come to you in due course and out of the blue, too!

Then, finally you’ll get a little badge next to your name that reads, eBay PowerSeller, which will make people trust you more!
