So – I tried to put something for sale on the site, and they rang me and stuff, and I entered the code, and now they’ve sent me this message when I try to do anything.
- Did I enter the wrong code or something?
- I live in the UK
- This is my first sale
To maintain a safe and secure online marketplace, eBay may require additional verification from sellers from time to time. As part of our verification review we have placed your account on hold, the hold prevents you from buying, selling and sending member to member messages. Your active listings will not be searchable during that period.
We’d like to arrange a telephone call to discuss recent activity on your eBay account and review the hold.
Follow the instructions on this link to schedule a time for us to call you:
https://www.scheduleonline.com/service_ebay_uk_verification.php
You can choose a time between Monday to Friday 11:00 to 17:00, or Saturday 11:00 to 15:00
To minimize the risk of further disruption to your account we’d ask you to book your call within 48 hours of receiving this email.
If we haven’t received a call back request from you after 48 hours we’ll review your account. This may lead to action being taken including suspension.
We appreciate your cooperation in this and look forward to reviewing your account with you as quickly as possible.

That could be a phishing scam. Ebay shouldn’t be using a site address of "scheduleonline.com". I would contact eBay via their ebay.com website, either via E-mail or telephone.
There are lots of lame eBay phishing emails going around. If this is a phishing email it’s a pretty good one. Luckily, it’s easy to tell if it’s real or fake. Just log into your eBay account and check your messages. If the email is really from eBay, there will be an identical message in your eBay in-box.
