I picked up a deal on ebay last year on ebay and purchased an 05 Black C6 Corvette. 400 Hp, 4.3 seconds 0-60, and am one of the few drivers who actually drives a corvette the way it was meant to be driven. (Fast and furious.)
A supercharger kit will run about 10K Canadian installed (which is close to US$$ now.)
I’m told she’ll pull high 560 – 580hp to the rear, but still question the fact I don’t have a Z51 suspension upgrade package, or an upgrade exhaust.
After these upgrades are done, I’ll have less than ,000 USD into this car (and she has low miles too)
Am I best to spend another 10+ grand in addition to this hypothetical upgrade to get an 2006 Z06? (505 hp, and all the bells and whistles)

I would get the supercharger. With a Z06 you are partly paying for the badge on the car. It is cheaper to build the one you have for more power.
I say the Z06.
Z06 all the way.
the way the Z06 runs in the 07 year would be hard to beat. it is running everything but if you can get it out of the 05 supercharged do it
I would be sure that the block you have had the up dates to except a supercharger, such as different pistons and rings, updated bearing and rods. The heads on a factory supercharged engine is also different. If you just put a super charger on any engine it will blow it sky high. And yes you will have to change the exhaust system to accommodate the supercharger.

Fred M. Hunter
First, hit the Corvette forums. There’s several thousand people there that know a lot more than we do.
If you want all out speed, just supercharge yours. If you want to corner as well, get the Z. Or spend about 5000 on aftermarket suspension goodies.
And if that blower is costing you $10k, then USD and CAN are nowhere close. $10k is a ripoff in any country.
