This is the original email:
Your eBay account is suspended for at least 7 days for violating our policy.
We take several things into consideration before we suspend an account, including account history and any previous actions.
We don’t let sellers list virtual products such as online game characters, accounts, currency, codes that can be redeemed for in-game items, or related software. This helps protect the people who originally created the products and own the rights to reproduce and sell them.
Here’s more information on our policy:

If you have any more questions, chat with one of our policy
experts any time from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM MST. Get started by clicking
the link below.

Because of your suspension, all your current listings were removed and any remaining account fees are due immediately. We’ll use your current billing method to pay for those fees.
You can’t use eBay in any way during your suspension. If you do, you could be suspended indefinitely. You also can’t register a new account or use another existing account.
During your suspension, you can’t:
- Bid on or buy items
- Sell items
- Leave or receive feedback
- File for an unpaid item credit
If you think we should reconsider this suspension, go to:

We need you to take action. For more information about why your account may have been suspended and what steps to take now, please go to:

Sincerely,
eBay Trust and Safety team

A week ago I received notification that my account has been suspended for shill bidding. I didn’t do any thing of the sorts. Then today I get an email stating someone did not receive their item. What happened was I only accept bids in the US unless there is contact prior to bidding and winning. A winning bidder did not contact me until after and was unhappy with my shipping quote. So after a week of no contact on her part I re listed the item. 3 days after I re listed it I got the shill suspension and now they are after me for non shipment. What should I do to resolve this crapola that I am innocent of?

Nope. She told me she didn’t like my quote ( from usps.com) and that was the last I heard, until all this.

I share an ebay account with a friend. And apparently he was shill bidding. The account was under my name so he doesn’t care much about the suspension or the outcome of the situation. So I was suspended for 30 days. It says you can appeal after that time, but after reading a few peoples’ blogs, they seem to be under the impression that their account will automatically recover with the appeal. I was wondering which is the case. Also within the 30 day period, I tried to create a new account and got caught. After being caught, do I still have the possibility of recovering my account or am I forever banned? After being caught, I received no email whatsoever so I am thinking that perhaps there was no consequence. Please help answer my two questions. 1) Will the account automatically recover? & 2) Do I still have the possibility of recovering my account even after getting caught for trying to create a new one? Any help please. Thanks

So – I tried to put something for sale on the site, and they rang me and stuff, and I entered the code, and now they’ve sent me this message when I try to do anything.
- Did I enter the wrong code or something?
- I live in the UK
- This is my first sale
To maintain a safe and secure online marketplace, eBay may require additional verification from sellers from time to time. As part of our verification review we have placed your account on hold, the hold prevents you from buying, selling and sending member to member messages. Your active listings will not be searchable during that period.
We’d like to arrange a telephone call to discuss recent activity on your eBay account and review the hold.
Follow the instructions on this link to schedule a time for us to call you:
https://www.scheduleonline.com/service_ebay_uk_verification.php
You can choose a time between Monday to Friday 11:00 to 17:00, or Saturday 11:00 to 15:00
To minimize the risk of further disruption to your account we’d ask you to book your call within 48 hours of receiving this email.
If we haven’t received a call back request from you after 48 hours we’ll review your account. This may lead to action being taken including suspension.
We appreciate your cooperation in this and look forward to reviewing your account with you as quickly as possible.

I received an email (allegedly) from eBay with this in the subject line: FPO NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension -Section 9
The message looks authentic, and it takes me to a non-secure site that also looks authentic to eBay. It then asks me to enter my credit/debit card info, and also asks for my PIN number. The PIN number is what bothered me – I’ve NEVER been asked for that online ever before, and I’m pretty sure this is fraud.
Here is the site that the e-mail takes me to. Maybe some of you more tech savvy than me can tell whether it’s actually eBay: http://signin.ebay.com.ws.ebayisapi.dll.usingssl.yes.signin.siteid.pagetype.copartnerid.a4xmgkby41fub4wsypldocrd6z0izjr7yqklzssh.stevene-burns.com/~lnfh/skin1/modules/Subscriptions/contact.php?co_partnerId=2&pUserId=&email=&siteid=0&pageType=&pa1=&i1=&bshowgif=&UsingSSL=&ru=&pp=&pa2=&errmsg=&runame=&ruparams=&ruproduct=&sid=&favoritenav=&confirm=&ebxPageType=&existingEmail=&isCheckout=&migrateVisitor&&MfcISAPICommand=ConfirmRegist

I got an email and it said this:
Your account has been suspended for a minimum of xxxNumberofDaysxxx for the following reason:
xxxReasonxxx
xxxReinstatement/ResolutionPath?xxx
During the period of suspension you can’t use eBay in any way, including registering a new account or using an additional existing account. If you owe any fees, they will be charged to the billing method you have on file.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
eBay Trust & Safety
